Its was been too long since last I wrote in here. Too busy yet no, argh I just don't know. haha
Staying abroad, far from family isn't easy. Especially when come to kampung food! Yes! Luckily I always lending a hand at the kitchen since my teenage years, so I can cook sikit-sikit. lol

Oh ya, now is my second term of ACCA. And insyaAllah the last term, pray for me please!
Exam is around the corner. To be exact less than 1 month. I need to study hard, and study smart at the same time. Hurm.

Hope I'll keep posting and share my experience on traveling, food-ing and sharing maybe?

Exam fever!

Exam is around the corner. Ops, no! Its tomorrow! Sigh. May Allah ease the way.
But when it come to food, I would love to prepare by myself. Home-cook would always be the best! Beat the rest! But these pest help me a lot during exam, the fastest way to cook. Thank you Brahim's! Lol. In Manchester, you can get it from various shop in Chinatown, Odham Road.

Fresh Fish in Manchester

Salmon? Sea Bass? Mackerel? Prawn? yummmm!

I would like to share some great news bout how and where to get fresh fish and seafood in Manchester. Its so easy, just pick and order what fish you want and they will deliver to your doorsteps for FREE! I have survey some other market that sell fish such as Arndale Fish Market and some shops in Chinatown, but I think this is the cheapest and no hassle to bring it back all the way from TOWN!

MARA Sponsorship Application: Program Pasca Siswazah Luar Negara

Assalamualaikum.
Disini saya kongsikan bagaimana applikasi kami para pemegang amanah oleh MARA di bawah Program Pasca Siswazah 2012 atau sebelum ini dipanggil Skim Pelajar Cemerlang. Hopefully ini membantu kawan-kawan yang mahu melanjutkan pelajaran ke luar negara. 



Suka untuk diingatkan bahawa kami kat sini bukan pegawai Mara yg boleh advise uols pasal syarat & keperluan MARA utk skim pascasiswazah luar negara ni. Yg boleh kami kongsi adalah apa yg kami tahu berdasarkan pengalaman kami & perbincangan dlm facebook sejak tahun lepas.
FASA PERTAMA adalah masa nak apply loan:-

1. Kami hanya isi maklumat diri, keputusan akademik, uni mana nak pegi & bidang pengajian yg nak diambil
2. Kami tak diminta utk upload transkrip/ sijil etc (kan dlm iklan tulis sapa dlm final sem boleh apply. So, logik laaa pada masa apply x perlu bagi offer letter & transkrip)
3. Kami tak diminta utk upload offer letter from uni
4. Kami tunggu keputusan Mara dlm bulan April
5. Pada siapa yg gagal pada masa tu, ada button RAYU. sesiapa yg merayu pada masa tu kena isi pengalaman kerja & beri justifikasi kenapa Mara perlu beri penajaan pd masa tu. 6. Keputusan rayuan keluar pertengahan bulan Mei.
7. Apa2 pun, semua yg berjaya dapat pinjaman ni pada tahun 2012 tak dipanggil untuk temuduga, tak diminta buat ujian bertulis.  

FASA KEDUA adalah masa dah dpt surat tawaran bersyarat Mara:- Dah dpt tawaran bersyarat dari Mara, baru kami buat apa yg Mara nak i.e. buat medical check up, pegi exam ielts (kalo disyaratkan oleh uni), usaha dptkan uncond offer letter, bagi transkrip & scroll degree, copy ic, birth cert, other certs etc. Bila dah lengkap semuanya, maka kami diminta oleh MARA untuk masuk ke satu applikasi atas talian yg khusus yg dipanggil "Eduloan". Ini hanya untuk mereka yg dah terima surat tawaran MARA kerana di situ ada diminta tarikh mula pengajian, bidang pengajian dan sebagainya. bila dah decide uni mana yg pegi, baru boleh isi applikasi ni.

FASA KETIGA adalah masa nak isi agreement:-
setelah kami hantar semua ni ke Mara, baru ler kami dpt surat tawaran rasmi Mara & sign agreement, submit further docs.

FASA KEEMPAT adalah bila dah submit agreement:
1. Sebaik hantar semula agreement yg lengkap kepada Mara, kami terus dpt 2 original copies of financial statement. 1 kami gunakan utk apply visa & 1 lagi kami simpan untuk bagi pada bahagian kewangan di Uni (utk bayaran yuran). 2. Masa ni jugak Mara akan mula proses duit pendahuluan 6 bulan.

FASA KELIMA adalah yg terakhir:-
1. Dpt visa
2. Dpt duit advance
3. Carik tiket utk fly/ mintak MARA belikan tiket (kena bagi copy visa & passport)
4. tukar duit ke matawang asing/ tukar jadi travellers cheque etc.
5. Fly!
Hope that helps. BUT WE DON'T KNOW IF THIS YEAR THE SYSTEM HAS CHANGED. That's beyond our knowledge. All d best.

Grilled Lamb with Cheesy Wedges and Vegetables!

Yummy! Menu for dinner. Grilled lamb with cheesy wedges and vege. Taking approximately around 40minutes to cook, yet so yummy! Modified own recipe.

Grilled lamb:
1/4 kg small cut of lamb shoulder
1tbs table salt
2tbs ground black pepper
1tbs black pepper
2tbs mixed herbs
2tbs olive oil

Mixed all ingredient together (except olive oil) and leave it for minimum 2hours for them to blend. Next, put some olive oil and all ingredient to the pan and grill it until the meat completely cooked.


Cheesy wedges:
Bake the ready made potato wedges for 20minutes. Cut some cheddar cheese and spread on the wedges on the last 5minutes of cooking.

Vegetables:
Rinse all cut vegetables for 5minutes in hot boiled water. Add some salt, olive oil and mixed herbs or oregano.

Pos Malaysia ke UK

Assalamualaikum.

Just receive a parcel from my mum. To those who might ask how to post parcel especially food from Malaysia to UK, this is some of the tips.

1. Wrap your parcel nicely. If possible, try to wrap the goods one by one.
2. Don't ever mention the goods are foods (although dried foods) coz afraid that they going to reject. Do declare as gift, books, cloths and etc.
3. For the first-timer (like me. heeee) you can ask for family in Malaysia to post minimally as a trial.

New Update

Assalamualaikum....

Maaf terlalu lama tidak update blog ni. InsyaAllah selepas ini akan lebih rajin dan kerap update blog yang dah berdebu ni.

Alhamdulillah, sekarang dah selamat tiba di Manchester, setelah pelbagai cabaran ditempuhi. Ya, Manchester, United Kingdom! Tiba di bumi Manchester pada 13 Februari 2013 untuk menimba ilmu. Dan InsyaAllah akan berkongsi tips menyambung pelajaran ke UK. Di sini, cabaran kembali bermula. Semoga segalanya dipermudahkan.
